How Groove was used at the G8 Summit in 2004

Barry Bennet, Communications Director
of the G8 Summit, 2004

In the year prior to the Microsoft acquisition, a couple of Groove Networks people worked with the communications director of the G8 Summit which was held on Sea Island, 80 miles south of Savannah Georgia.  Each policy advisor to each leader was issued with a tablet loaded with OneNote and Groove.  The policy advisors used the chat to communicate with their research suppport staff in a room 1km away.  Groove was selected for its security and because of that ink chat support.  In the past keyboards made too much noise.
